Back To Action

It’s been quiet awhile since I’ve had time to login to my Facebook or other social accounts, let alone update my pitiful blog or my pretty Portfolio. But I have been taking on projects this last while and doing just fine. The reason for my silence the last while is like my previous blog post rambled on about it was time for a change.

Well that change happen! I decided to get into a second career just to keep the “something different” train moving. I’ve recently dived into the Drywall boarding/tapping trade, I’m doing great at it so far for the little time and no training that I obtained and put into it. Getting lots of jobs and making lots of websites and houses better everyday! Though it’s a long road and is something you’ll never stop learning new things.

With that all out of the way, I’ll be making great strives to keep my blog more updated. To do so, I’m going to shy away from just strict professional things (I’m always hesitant to get personal on here as I figure it needs to be professional). I think I’ll start blogging about some of my hobbies, interest, news on those things, etc.

I’ve recently the last few months dove into the RC Helicopters thing, loving it, as challenging and difficult as it is, I’m progressing and having a great time. In between that, I’m doing the odd gaming. So just maybe I’ll blog about those things too.

Time to make my blog, MY blog versus just a professional rambling place.

Best WordPress Design Award

I’ve decided to get a little involved, and try my luck with the new design! So I’ll be participating in WP Web Host’s Best “WordPress Design Award“.

Wish me and all the other participants luck!

Mike.

It’s here… Version 4

Finally, Version four is out the door! Thanks to a lot of encouraging comments, features and other recognition mediums, and popular demand from all my visitors and business relationships; I decided it was a great idea to revisit my version two’s art direction, and adapt it to my current design style.

Although it looks great, it’s not just another new flashy design to me, it’s a millstone in my personal life and career – as it stands for my new missions and goals in life and work. After just battling some troubling times, I’m inspired and ready to push forward with a new look, methodology and outlook on life and take on all the challenges life and work has to dish out!

Hopefully my clients, future clients and visitors from across the world, enjoy the new look and layout, as much as I do.

Mike.

Designer Spotlight: Michael Rei

Every morning I start my day by grabbing my iPod and checking my Inbox, from the moment my eyes are open. I see the usual thing, emails from friends, family and clients (let’s not forget good ol’ uncle Spam too). But  this morning I got quiet a neat surprise! Kristina from Graphic Fetish sent me an email to inform me I was featured in their Designer Spotlight column.

I must admit, it was quite an exciting surprise. I enjoyed reading the article from top to bottom, it was definitely thrilling to say the least, as I never had a column written up about me before. Hopefully it’s not the last either. =P

I’d like to thank Graphic Fetish for their encouraging article and their efforts. =)

Please don’t forget to check out their site! It’s looks like it’s gonna be a great hit.
